The AI Phone Agent Platform
Tilk is a platform for building AI phone agents that answer your inbound calls. An agent picks up on your number, holds a real conversation, answers from your own information, books appointments on your calendar, and transfers to a person when a call needs one. You build it in a browser, with no code.
Why does Tilk sound like a real call?
Tilk does not convert text to speech. The voice engine, built on Google's Gemini Live audio models, processes audio end to end: it hears intonation, responds naturally, and holds the back-and-forth rhythm of a real conversation. Calls feel like calls.
Most AI phone systems chain several services together: they transcribe the caller, generate text, then read it back with a separate speech model. Every hop adds delay, and you hear it as a robotic pause. Tilk's native audio removes those hops, which keeps responses fast and lets the agent handle interruptions the way a person would. When a caller talks over the agent, the agent stops and listens.
- Audio in, audio out, with no text-to-speech layer
- Sub-second response time with real-time turn-taking
- Handles interruptions instead of talking over the caller
- Natural pacing with no robotic pauses or delays
- Six voices to match your business's tone
- Voice quality callers rarely flag as AI
How does Tilk answer your calls?
Every inbound call is answered instantly. No hold music, no voicemail, no missed opportunity. The agent greets the caller, works out what they want, and either resolves the request on the call or warm-transfers to the right person with the context attached. It runs on Telnyx telephony, so you can port your existing number or buy a new one in the app.
Because the platform handles many calls at once, a rush no longer means a busy signal, and after-hours calls no longer go to voicemail. You set business-hours handling per agent, so a call at 2 a.m. Sunday can be answered, booked, or routed differently from a call during open hours. The agent can also speak more than one language, drawing on what Gemini Live supports, configured per agent. The same agent works as a voice widget on your website, so a visitor can talk to it without dialing.
- Sub-second answer time on inbound calls
- Many calls handled at once, no busy signal
- Warm transfer to a human with call context
- Multilingual conversations, configured per agent
- Business-hours and after-hours handling per agent
- Around-the-clock availability on your line

How do you build a Tilk agent?
You build an agent in a browser workspace, with no code. Start from a ready-made template such as a dental receptionist, salon booking, plumber dispatch, or lead qualifier, or start blank. Set the greeting and personality, pick a voice, and shape how the agent handles each kind of call in a smart script editor.
The editor uses capability pills and custom variables, so you can tell the agent to check the calendar, collect a caller's details, send a text, fire a webhook, or transfer to a person, and branch on what the caller says. You can import your business profile from Google Places or your website to prefill hours and services. A test slide-over lets you talk to the draft agent before it goes live, and a publish-and-pause lifecycle with version history keeps changes safe.
- No-code smart script editor with capability pills
- Templates for common businesses, or start blank
- Google Calendar integration for live booking
- Webhook triggers to reach your other tools
- Custom variables for personalized conversations
- In-app tester and version history before publish
How does the agent answer from your data?
You give the agent a knowledge base. Upload PDFs, Word docs, or text files, paste content in, or ingest a page from a URL. Tilk chunks the content, embeds it, and stores it in a vector database. When a caller asks about your hours, services, or policies, the agent retrieves the answer from your documents rather than making one up.
Retrieval uses a hybrid of semantic and keyword search with reranking, so the agent finds the right passage even when the caller phrases the question differently from your document. You can keep several named knowledge bases per agent, and updating them updates what the agent says. No model training is required, and changes take effect without a rebuild.
- Upload PDFs, docs, and text, or ingest a URL
- Retrieval-grounded answers, not guesses
- Automatic chunking and embedding
- Hybrid semantic and keyword search with reranking
What do you see after each call?
Every call is recorded and transcribed. You can watch active calls live with a real-time transcript, then review call history filtered by status, direction, duration, or caller. Analytics roll up outcomes, call volume, duration, and cost so you can see how the agent is doing and where to tighten it. Recording and AI disclosure are per-agent settings with messages you write.
Tilk fits into the tools you already use. It fires webhooks during a call, syncs appointments to Google Calendar, and integrates with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Square for caller lookup and lead logging. When a call qualifies as a lead, Tilk emails and texts the recipients you choose with a link to the call. It works alongside tilkbook for booking, and exposes a REST API and outbound webhooks for anything custom.
- Live call monitoring with real-time transcript
- Full call recordings and transcripts
- HubSpot, Salesforce, and Square integrations
- Google Calendar sync for appointments
- Webhooks and a REST API for custom workflows
- Lead delivery by email and SMS after the call
How does Tilk's pricing work?
Tilk is a subscription. You start with a free 7-day trial so you can test the agent on real calls before committing. From there, a flat monthly plan priced by calls, not minutes: Basic at $59/month for 100 calls, Standard at $129/month for 300 calls, Teams at $299/month for 800 calls. There is no overage billing, so your bill cannot run away from you. Billing runs through Stripe, with a self-service customer portal.
Because the model is priced by calls, the right way to size it is against how many calls your phone actually takes each month. See pricing for full plan details.
Who is the Tilk platform for?
Any business that lives on its phone and cannot afford to miss a call. The payback is steepest where call volume is high and much of it is routine. Tilk ships templates and vertical guidance for dental practices, medical offices, law firms, and real estate teams, and works for home-services trades, salons, and other appointment-driven businesses.
